Description
Electral powder is an oral rehydration salt (ORS) based on the WHO formula. It is used to restore fluids and electrolytes lost due to dehydration during diarrhoea, vomiting, or other conditions. It contains a combination of salt and sugar (sodium citrate, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, and dextrose).
The combination of electrolytes and sugar stimulates the absorption of water and electrolytes from the gut. Therefore, it prevents or reverses dehydration and replaces lost salts in conditions such as diarrhoea and vomiting.
Use Electral powder as directed by your doctor or pharmacist, and read the label carefully before use. Walyte sachet, Electrobion sachet and Electrokind sachet are some other oral rehydration salts (ORS) based on the WHO formula.
